Visitors to Lake Piru can rest and relax while casting their lines in the water from the shore or a float tube or while boating.
Fishing licenses are required for all areas, including fishing from shore, kayaks and float tubes.
To make it even easier to enjoy your catch, cleaning stations are available on shore.

Boating Requirements –
- All vessels shall meet all USGS Regulations
- All vessels shall be inspected prior to launching to verify safety equipment, and working conditions of all lights
- Safe boating shall be observed at all times
- No Alcohol is allowed while vessels are on the water
Each participant is responsible to have proper safety equipment to meet State, and Local Regulations
Each contestant is required to wear a US Coast Guard approved life jacket, at all times when the combustion engine is in operation, and during “Nighttime” beginning 30 minutes prior to Sunset
Beginning 30 minutes prior to Sunset all vessels are required to operate at 5MPH maximum (ie no wake)
A “25 yard rule” is in effect at all times during the Series, this means that all vessels must remain at least 25 yards from another (this includes casting into another’s area) & 25 yards from the Marina docks
Any angler who displays poor sportsmanship, and/or misconduct and/or violates the state fishing or lake rules may be excluded from any subsequent Series dates and subject to citation
