Hiking Trails
Those looking to set out on foot can enjoy the hiking trails in and around Lake Piru Recreation Area. We have easy strolls around the lake or more challenging routes in the Los Padres National Forest. Whichever you choose, you will enjoy beautiful scenery and may even see some of our local wildlife!
Agua Blanca Trail
This 12-mile trail offers wilderness access and spectacular views. The terrain is moderate with some steep sections and is not recommended for horses. Additional information about this trail is available at the USDA website.
Pothole Trail
This 5.9-mile trail switchbacks up the ridgeline for 2.7 miles, enters the Sespe Wilderness, and descends for another 2 miles. A loop hike may be taken by connecting with the Agua Blanca Trail. Additional information about this trail is available at the USDA website.
